Altaqwa Mosque

Twenty three years ago, the Al-Taqwa Academy was established with the mission to build an inspired future for Muslim students.

Our Academy has fostered the education of many graduates, instilling faith within a robust academic curriculum. All academy graduates have gone on to pursuit university educations.

While our academy does so much for our students, we do not have a masjid for our students, parents, and staff and community to pray in.

The masjid is the heart of all our communities, and this was certainly emphasized   during the pandemic. 

When prayers were permitted, our community was forced to pray in the parking lot, during blustering winter conditions. 

Considering the necessity of new mosque for us, for our children, and  our future generations, we are excited to share the opportunity with all of you  to lay the foundation and first bricks in Altaqwa Mosque in London East!

"  إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُمَسَاجِدَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَلَمْ يَخْشَ إِلَّا اللَّهَ"

 "The mosques of Allah should only be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish prayer, pay alms-tax, and fear none but Allah. It is right to hope that they will be among the ˹truly˺ guided"
